As hard as it is to believe, we are less than 2 months away from 2019 -- The New Year. The new year is the time when we set goals that we want to accomplish in the 12 months ahead of us. These goals are usually related to weight loss, travel, work, getting fit or focusing more on ourselves. These are what we plan to be our next steps in life.
At this point in the year though, it is not worth it to start anything right? After all, you can't accomplish very much in just a few months. That is plenty of time to make some positive changes. I am going to challenge you to think about how far along your health journey you can be if you start now, instead of in January.
In the next 90 days, you could:
- Build a few new habits, like eating more vegetables or drinking more water
- Reduce or cut out sugar
- Stop drinking soda
- Lose about 12 lbs of body fat
- Lose 3% body fat
- Gain a pound or two of muscle
- Start a new relaxation ritual
- Sleep better
- Workout 64 times! If you average 4 days a week
We talk about how the year "flies by." We can't believe it is already the end of November. Sure, maybe it feels like the year moved fast, but that is more of a reason to start making a change now. You will be that much closer to your goals.
Again, I challenge you to think about your goals. If you start today, where could you be on January 1st, 2019? Think of what habits and accomplishments you could carry into the new year.
